I’m one of Joan’s Thrifty friends, and wanted to thank you for sharing this experience with us. I love reading your blog, and your photos are amazing. They look like postcards. Especially the flowers.
I think I’ve probably gained about 5 lbs. just from reading about all the yummy food you have experienced. 🙂
So happy for you two, that you are able to do this. (Actually, I’m so jealous I could spit.) Looking forward to hearing and seeing more from your travels. Thanks for the marvelous history and geography lessons.

I keep singing that song, but of course the Meg Ryan version….. You know the one that ends with, “why oh why do I love paris, because my love is there, with his SLUT GIRLFRIEND”
